We are growing

My car broke down. I have several other problems and fires I need to put out. Not sure if I will have the time or capacity to keep investing in the gym. For the last 2 days I have had to organise not one, but two tolls to get the car at least to a safe place (the first mechanic couldn’t do the work).

I haven’t slept that well, I am tired. Not sure if anyone would turn up as the weather’s rainy. Do I go? Do I just stay home and call it off? Screw it. I end up dealing with the chores for the day. One by one, the clock keeps ticking. It’s getting closer and closer to the hour. Not sure if I’ll have time to even prepare the class.

At the end I end up sacrificing some tasks (postponing some, downright cancelling a meeting), so I can allocate some time – if we sink, we will sink with honor, doing our best – like the musicians of the Titanic. So I focus on preparing a good class. I work out how to get there without a car – I need to catch different trains, walk for a while…

I almost get into trouble in one of the trains – there was someone increasingly angry on the phone, peacocking. Pacing up and down the carriage swearing, making threatening gestures. He starts getting closer. I can tell he’s about to snap. I decide to apply some Krav Maga – I left the train and caught the next one (not sexy, but not interested in sexy. I am interested in getting me and my family home safe – and I achieved it). At the end I get there, rainy. No one at the Granville Centre. I get my key, I rehearse my lesson. I deal with other chores. The clock keeps ticking…

And not only Harsha and Vihaan turn up. We also get some new members. And it ends up being the best class we’ve ever had 🧘‍♂️
