Improv

I was always told that I should try theatre, but I never wanted to be famous. So for many years kept things to myself, wasn’t very social. I chose a career where my only conversations would be with tin boxes, etc.

And fast forward some years into my life. Covid ended, I lost many things. I was feeling lonely and bored, so time to go out of the cave and mingle. Join some meetups. Ended up finding some funny ones about laughing (Theatre games in the park? Not sure if you heard).

And here I am, next Sunday I am running the most popular Sydney meetup for improv comedy. Live. On a stage. For 2 full hours.

And I am not allowed to have any vodka with me.

See you on Sunday!

That was the story I told for 15 Oct 2023 – my first event as a host.

Indeed, I started going to events after covid and from going to a couple, slowly started going more and more. It became a regular thing and who knew, after one of the leaders stepping out, there was a spot for someone to step up. So with the chaperoning of Phil, I was suggested and ended up running my first event in October.

My life has taken many turns and evolved in many different aspects and, unexpectedly, after performing at a show in April, Steven, the president of the organisation, decided to step out of his role to be able to focus on other projects.

And guess who he appointed as his next successor?

You guessed it right 😉

I am the head of Play Theatre Games in the Park.

Come to our Improv events to have a laugh or two and optionally to work on your public speaking, emotional intelligence, confidence, etc – results (almost) guaranteed!
